I design software that has to be explained to a regulator
I'm Rakesh Chittineni, a principal software engineer and software architect working on regulated healthcare and medical device software. I have 16+ years in software engineering, 14+ of them in healthcare and device platforms.
I designed a high-throughput HL7 processing service for radiology workflows at Nuance and Microsoft, led a monolith-to-microservices move for clinical workflow software, and set cloud strategy across Azure and AWS for clinical trial platforms. Today I work on AWS infrastructure and validated delivery pipelines for MedTech platforms.
What I write here comes from that work: where boundaries erode, how safety classification should shape decomposition, why a pipeline is a change control process, and what "delivered" really means on a connected device. I try to keep it concrete and checkable. When an answer depends on your risk analysis or your regulator, I say so.
Everything on this site is my own view. It does not represent my employer or any client, and no confidential information is used.
